the davis family story

Jared is working hard to convert our one bedroom condo into a 1 1/4 bedroom condo. We would like to stay in our current home as long as possible, but we'd also like to preserve some of our own space (ie. our bedroom) and have some dedicated space for our little one. The solution: Baby in a Box.

Here's a before picture of our wide hallway/office space:

We cleaned out a few bookshelves, downgraded from a 4 drawer to a 2 drawer file cabinet, and turned the desk 90°.

Here's the first wall being framed in:

You can see the new file cabinet being built in as part of this wall. There will also be a fold down changing table on this side:

This picture shows where the bed will be located inside the room, as well as the second wall frame which will include a sliding pocket door.

Under the bed will be storage for the stroller, etc. There will also be lots of shelves inside and on the changing table wall.
